Dr. Craig Taylor
Dr Craig Taylor is a specialist laparoscopic and obesity surgeon with over 5 years experience in obesity surgery and has performed more than 1000 weight-loss surgical procedures.
He is the primary author of a number of scientific and research papers that have been presented at leading international congresses and published in respected medical journals, and is an active member of the Obesity Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand, the International Federation of Surgery for Obesity, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
He attended the University of Sydney and graduated with honours and was awarded the Robert Craig prize in Surgery.
He received his training in General Surgery at the Royal North Shore hospital before undertaking an intensive 3-year Fellowship training program in Bariatric (obesity) and Upper Gastrointestinal surgery at leading surgical units in Australia and in the United States. His training in obesity surgery has covered all of the major operation types including complex revisional procedures, and has focused strongly on providing holistic multi-disclipinary patient aftercare support in order to achieve maximum results.
He also performs complex upper gastrointestinal surgery including surgery on the liver, stomach, gallstones, adrenal glands, anti-reflux surgery, and abdominal hernia surgery with a particular focus on the laparoscopic (keyhole) approach.
